The FLL Hobart Regional 2025 was held at St Mary’s College on 8 November 2025.
The theme for the year was Unearthed, which challenged teams to to identify and
research a problem faced by archaeologists and propose a
solution. Teams also designed, built, and programmed LEGO robots to complete missions related to the theme of ocean research.
This year’s award winners:

- Innovation Award – Heart-Bots, Sacred Heart College
- Robot Design Award – Derwent Valley, Derwent Valley Community House
- Engineering Excellence Award – The Golden Nuggets, Molesworth Primary School
- Breakthrough Award – Five Fantastic Fossils, Northern Christian School
- Volunteer Award – Nathaniel Coles
- Coach/Mentor – Peter Humphrey, Northern Christian School
- Peer Award – Anti-LAG, St Mary’s College
